money, innit

they say that love makes the world go round. but let's not kid ourselves - it's money, innit?
money is the root to all that is both good and evil in this world.
take my Monday, for example. i had a lecture to go in for for 4pm, so i rushed to get ready (i had been up til 7am this morning because i had slept in til 3pm yesterday afternoon ...) and i rushed to the ATM - and i died when the screen practically gloated at my expense: i had £10 left to withdraw. I stood contemplating whether to withdraw my last note or not, when i decided (heaven knows why!) that getting to uni was important, and that buying a weekly bus ticket would force me to go the library every day to finish my work.
so, having paid for my ticket, having travelled on the double-decker bus, and having got to my class early, i soon learned that no one was coming to the lecture: students nor lecturer.
the money i spent on my bus ticket was for evil, surely?! i saw no good come of it as i sat alone in the classroom ...
i grumbled, before using my weekly bus ticket to travel into town (making the most of my ticket!) and meet my boyfriend in his work. he listened to my sob-story (I'm always far more dramatic for his benefit!) and he offered me his bank card so I could ... well ... survive for the remainder of the day!
i do adore my boyfriend (and not just because he saves my bum when i, pretty much, flounder my monies away ...) and the money that he gave me was put to good use, and paid for this:
and in case you're interested, this was my breakfast, lunch and dinner! (it was a rather nice baguette - as the bite out of the end in the pic shows! - only slightly ruined by the hobo that tried to rob a butty from the shop ...!)
p.s. it was sunny today in Liverpool:
but it wasn`t warm enough to wear shorts and flip-flops, like i saw some of the girls doing ...
